Little Quilt Paradise

This morning some gorgeous cream material came through the post which I think is perfect for one of my future quilting hand stitching expedition, The Princess Raj Quilt. The quilt top has already ready been done on just gorgeous squares but again this will be another practise piece to practise hand quilting and the cream fabric will be perfect for that because of the cream moons and stars on this piece too. Last night I looked on the net all about hand quilting and decided to take some pictures of my hand quilting project.

I'm hoping this is okay as you can see in these pictures, I have included my favourite quilting thread in the picture too which I have been using with the logo YLI quilting thread cotton where the colours are greens going into pinks.... just awesome. I love the name of this thread Rio de Janiero, this reminds me of parrots. I've been dying my hair red again and oh what fun... my dogs have been giving me some funny looks all morning thinking Nutbud mum is at it again!!

That looks very pretty. It's going to be stunning when it's done. I like YLI thread too...it's the only stuff I've ever used for hand quilting.

YLI is my favorite thread...I stocked up on lots of it before I moved here from the states. Your hand quilting looks great. I have the same experience getting different results with different companies needles...

thanks for stopping by my blog!

Your hand quilting looks very good. You describe very well the feeling of tranquility one gets when quilting. A good light, a cuppa and maybe some nice music in the background. We don´t need more, do we?! Take care

Yes, this is the best thread, and the color name is reminiscent of an exotic adventure! Your stitches look just splendid, enjoy!
