Send Off Time

Finally after a lot of struggle with the binding and the backing ( I did the best I could) as I'm no binding and backing expert. I have completed the Mini Spring Swap Quilt, all done, what a relief and sent off to the swap partner such a long way away. While I'm resting and recovering I'm just doodling on some cards, playing around with pencil crayons which I don't know what exactly is going to happen with these but playing around with art materials, sometimes you can come up with something oh, if this doesn't work out, goes in the bin.

I went along to the fabric guild and got some more material towards my hexagon coat, disappointingly I could not find any Halloween fabric but I'm going to look round the online stores and in my fabric stash as Jim my partner kept reminding me we have loads somewhere in the stash. That stash is in the attic or hidden away in some dark lurky corner somewhere which I cant find groan.....

I have all the housework to catch up on now after days, weeks working on the mini quilt.

Ive not put a hanging sleeve on the back of this as I didn't really know if the swap lady wanted to keep this flat, get this framed, hide this away or put it somewhere hee hee, my apologies there.

I do know if I ever enter a quilt competition I'm going to get the binding and backing done professionally as this is really my weak point. I cant wait to see and read the results as others receive their mini quilts, what their reaction would be.

Hope everyone is having quilting fun and relaxing.

You did a beautiful job on that. Wish I was the recipient - I would put a sleeve on it and hang it up so everyone could see it.
