New Horizons

I apologise for not writing any sooner. Alot has been happening, I have been staying in Leicester more and will eventually move down to Leicester as I like it here and my partner lives here too.

While the weather has been great Ive been outside gardening which is fantastic.

At my flat in Sheffield I don't have a garden just an upstairs flat in a really rough area which can make me and my hounds a little bit miserable as it is not safe to go out at night.

My quilting has had a little break while I've been gardening and doing other errands.

The needlepoint has almost finished with the wonderful lion in the middle, I've to sew the silver beads next representing stars. I'm pleased with this as I have worked hard on this needlepoint for several weeks. There is my other quilt waiting to be worked on here with hand quilting, I will pick this up later and give it another try.

The magic about this place is that I am able to get on with my songwriting again and get some help with it. About two to three years ago I had alot of bad luck with other unfriendly musicians in bands. This made me say right Ive had enough and took a complete break from this.

Over the last few weeks I have been recording my vocals here at home on two songs, one which I wrote myself and another song famously done by Nat King Cole called When I fall In Love.

It's nice to record on a home recording kit on the computer, alot of musicians do this now rather than forking out terrible prices in a professional recording studio. So you can see I have quite a few projects on the go and I like to keep busy.

I was worried about you! The watercolor is lovely. Good luck on the music, that's exciting! I'm eager to see the needlepoint when it's completed.
