Last night with a new project on the go and definete deadline, pens, pencils and sketches clicked into action for the Mini Quilt Swap. I asked Jim to write a small spring verse for me, afterwards I tried to get the lettering done on the computer but could not get what I asked for so painted out the Calligraphy letters on separate sheets of paper. This morning I couldn't sleep, I was starving for breakfast and had new ideas rolling round my mind in what I was going to do.
So I got up, much to my dogs delight as it meant an early walkies for them, and dyed the middle square bit of material in the microwave, it was great as there was no one around to get in the way even though the house is full of people. I have lovely dyed blue fingers and hands now so its a good job I'm not shaking hands with the vicar today.
I'm in two minds whether to embroider the lettering or paint the lettering on the fabric, I love embroidering with cotton or silk. First I will have to play around with the flowers which have yet to be drawn out properly to paint, so fingers crossed the experiments will turn out well.
The picture today is the lovely bridge in Anstey Village, this bridge reminds me of Scotland as Scotland is full of romantic little bridges like this. It's only about a hundred years old built for the Parish Council as part of their walks. Again the weather is lovely and warm and I just can't wait to play around with fabrics and paints for the flowers.

Love the photo of the bridge Faith! It may end up as a lovely stitchery on my end... Seems I am into finding great photos to sketch, and that there is one! 8-)
