Jewel Finds

Apologies for the pagan star picture I just don't know how this got here and just could not delete it so ignore that... lol, the angels are all in the lovely colours!!

I've promised to upload my photos of the Jewel Finds from my little shopping trip to the FG yesterday. I'm still dazzled and delighted with the materials, just look at those colours!!

I'm also delighted with the colours of fat quarters on different artists paint styles such as Monet with the water lillies, the swirls from Van Gogh's blue sky, curly swirls from Klimpt on the light green cloth, shades from Rothko. If you look back a couple of blogs you will see the hexagon shapes all in greens that I'm also currently working on, these are what the fat quarters are for.

While its another hot lovely day, Ive got the fun of giving these fabrics a little gentle wash and to dry on the washing line. Finger's crossed I'll be able to get on with the rest of the stitching on the words.... "Green Glory" to go down one side of the Spring mini quilt and some more applique flowers.

Thank you all for visiting my blog and leaving comments, I get so excited when I see all the lovely quilts and work that you do and quilt conversations, life, makes me feel I'm not the only quiltaholic one. I will let you know how I get on with my projects.

Those are my favourite colours. Blue and teal (or turquoise). I'm sure you will have fun working with them.

Hi Faith, Great site and am SO envious that you went to Fabric Guild - quilters heaven. I'm trying to work on a quilt for a National Art exhibition here in Crete. The theme is 'Rhythms (of life) and so covers a lot. I've lots of lovely turquoise and blue green fabrics (from FG) - just need some inspiration. I love your selection of colours and totally agree with you about the magic of the place. I was trying to persuade my son to take me there in August, but Jen has volunteered. Be much more fun with Jen and then we can maybe meet up?
